Port of Esbjerg joined the Baltic Ports Organization (BPO) to learn and contribute its expertise in /roll-off (RoRo) transport. According to the terminal in Denmark, European companies need efficient port infrastructure, which requires, among other things, close collaboration between European ports and strong competencies in RoRo transport.
“RoRo transport is an important part of European trade and increases export opportunities both within each country and between them. To keep pace with production across Europe, it is essential to strengthen our collaborations. Therefore, we are pleased to welcome the Port of Esbjerg, which with its expertise in RoRo operations can contribute to this development,” emphasized Bogdan Oldakowski, Secretary General of the Baltic Ports Organization.
With eleven RoRo ramps, companies with several decades of experience in RoRo, and specially trained port workers, the Port of Esbjerg guarantees fast and seamless handling of all types of goods. For decades, it has specialized in RoRo transport and has continuously developed its facilities and infrastructure in collaboration with the sector, thereby ensuring that the needs of companies to expand their business are met.
“With the addition of the Port of Esbjerg to the Baltic Ports Organization, we have a new member that brings extensive experience in the RoRo sector. We look forward to sharing this experience with the members. At the same time, we can optimize operations within the organization and between individual ports and strengthen trade corridors,” added Oldakowski.
