Port of Namibe and Angola Telecom discuss opportunities to strengthen connectivity and services

The Namibe Port Company-EP received a delegation from Angola Telecom to discuss opportunities to strengthen connectivity and modernize services at the port.

The provincial director of Angola Telecom, Rosa Ferreira Chichila, presented the technological solutions being implemented, highlighting the National Broadband Project, which aims to expand optical fiber and ensure greater stability and security in data transmission.

Praia Zau, director of the Office of Technology, Innovation and Information at the Namibe Port Company, emphasized that the improvement of telecommunications infrastructure will accelerate the digitization of processes, optimize information flow, and raise the level of operational response.

In turn, the administrator of the Commercial Area, acting chairman of the Board of Administration of the Port of Namibe, Domingos Delfim, stressed that technological innovation is a strategic priority for increasing the terminal’s logistical efficiency.

Both institutions expressed their interest in moving towards alliances that guarantee sustainable and economically advantageous technological solutions, thereby reinforcing their commitment to the continuous development and modernization of the Port of Namibe, the port company stated.
