The Port Authority of Castellón continues to advance in its expansion plan, acquisition of new markets and traffic diversification with its participation in a trade mission to Turkey from November 18 to 21 to attract new connections in the Turkish market.

The expedition, which coincides with the Logitrans fair in Istanbul, a benchmark event for logistics and transport between Europe and Asia, will be led by the president of the Port Authority, Rubén Ibáñez, the director, Manuel J. García and the head of the Business Development Department, Adolfo Noguero, who have already scheduled an intensive agenda of meetings with shipping lines, logistics operators and other industry agents.

The main objective is to establish alliances and reinforce agreements with new shipping lines and international logistics operators to explore new routes and markets that join those already working with the port.

“The objective is to explore new routes that boost the port’s competitiveness with new lines and modalities of maritime transport in a key market for Castellón due to its weight in the ceramic industry and the country’s strategic situation,” president of the Port Authority, Rubén Ibáñez.

“Traffic diversification is part of the roadmap set by the Port Authority to increase market share and attract new customers in a context of port growth,” he added.

PortCastelló is participating for the second consecutive year in this fair, which is configured as a primary international event for the logistics and freight transport sector and constitutes a strategic opportunity to consolidate the port as a key hub in the Mediterranean.

The Port Authority of Castellón will have a workspace enabled in the ICEX stand, which is organizing a Spain Pavilion

The last edition of the event featured more than 200 exhibitors from 18 countries and more than 14,000 visitors, including major Asian shippers and transport companies from Turkey and its areas of influence.
