The Port Authority of Castellón, within the framework of its sustainability and decarbonization strategy, has begun the execution of the project to install electric vehicle charging infrastructure in its parking lots. The main objective is to provide the port facility with advanced energy infrastructure that promotes electric mobility as a sustainable alternative for port users and workers.
The execution has been awarded to the company Crisol Obras y Servicios S.L. for an amount of around 100,000 euros. The work is already underway and includes the installation of ten semi-rapid 22kW alternating current charging points, with the capacity for the simultaneous charging of up to 10 electric vehicles, as well as the installation of a 100kW direct current fast charging station, located outside the facility. The commissioning of this infrastructure will allow for an estimated reduction of 520 tco2eq per year.
