Members of the PortosRio Port Guard participated in the Special Course for Crew of State Vessels in Public Service (ETSP), held at the Port Captaincy Delegation in Cabo Frio (DelCFrio).

The training, offered by the Brazilian Navy, is intended for civil servants and employees of public agencies who work as crew members or operators of vessels in the exclusive service of these institutions.

With a workload of 36 hours, the course included theoretical and practical assessments. Participants approved by the Maritime Authority are qualified to crew or operate small vessels up to eight meters, such as LAEP-7 type launches, equipped with a center engine for inland navigation, in addition to personal watercraft used by the Port Guard.

The certificate and license delivery ceremony was conducted by the Acting Port Delegate, Lieutenant Queiroz, at the Port Captaincy Delegation in Cabo Frio.

The superintendent of the PortosRio Port Guard, Jorge Dantas, emphasized that “the training offered by the Brazilian Navy will enable more effective inspection actions, ensuring respect for the environment, the fluidity and safety of port operations.”
