PortosRio signed, in Brasília, a Protocol of Intentions alongside the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the National Association of Cargo Transport Agency Companies (ANATC). The initiative establishes cooperation for the development and integration of systems that increase the traceability of agricultural products and inputs in foreign trade.

The agreement provides for joint actions that contribute to the improvement of control mechanisms, combating logistical illicit activities and fraud, greater security and transparency in port operations, and strengthening the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness.

The signing is part of the pilot project of the Voluntary Agribusiness Traceability Program, aligned with the guidelines of Mapa’s Integrated Traceability System.

“PortosRio actively participates in the modernization and technological advancement of national foreign trade. Being alongside MAPA in this agenda reinforces our role as a strategic port authority for the development of Brazilian agribusiness,” highlighted Flavio Vieira, President-Director of PortosRio.
