LIVORNO – On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Port System Authority of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea is launching an awareness campaign promoted by the Single Guarantee Committee, with a simple and powerful message: “In port, no voice remains alone.”
The heart of the initiative is a red poster, displayed at the offices of the Port Authority and in the port access areas, on which a QR code links to a collective video: men and women of the AdSP, technical, administrative, and operational staff, have lent their voices to repeat together the claim chosen by the CUG.
A symbolic and participatory gesture that aims to remind us that violence – physical, psychological, or economic – is never a private matter, and that silence is fertile ground for the isolation of victims.
“We chose a phrase that belongs to our identity as a port community,” declared the president of the CUG, Antonella Querci. “A port is a place of landing, protection, and cooperation. Saying that no voice remains alone means taking on a collective commitment: to listen, support, and not look the other way when someone is experiencing a situation of violence. It is a responsibility that concerns us all, without exception.”
The president of the AdSP MTS, Davide Gariglio, also wanted to emphasize the value of the initiative. “The port,” he said, “is a community of women and men who work together every day, often in complex conditions.” Gariglio highlighted how the protection of people’s dignity and safety cannot be an abstract principle but must become a concrete commitment. “The AdSP campaign translates this commitment into a simple, shared, and profoundly human gesture. I thank the CUG and all the colleagues who participated: this is how we build a fairer and stronger work environment for everyone,” he concluded.

The campaign stands out for its “homemade” but authentic character: no professional production, no glossy communication, but the choice to put at the center the people who live and work every day in the ports of the AdSP MTS.
A direct way to say that the prevention of violence happens through presence, listening, and the ability to network.
“The AdSP MTS thus confirms its commitment to creating a respectful, inclusive, and aware work environment, in which the well-being of people is recognized as an integral part of safety and the quality of port work,” is Querci’s concluding message.
