PortCastelló will end 2025 with a historic record of cruises and guarantees premium stopovers for the next two years. In total, there have been 10 cruise stopovers, two of which have been in Peñíscola. An upward trend that will be consolidated in the next two years as a total of 16 cruises are already scheduled for 2026 and 2027. “These figures are the result of a well-worked strategy by the PortCastelló Foundation and reflect the success of the Castellón port’s determined commitment to play in the luxury cruise segment,” stated the president of the Port Authority, Rubén Ibáñez.
The head of PortCastelló explained that “as of today, there are eight confirmed requests for cruise stopovers for 2026 and another eight for 2027,” added Rubén Ibáñez. Likewise, regarding the profile of the cruise passengers who stop in Castellón, the president of the Port Authority pointed out that “we have specialized in an exclusive target, with high purchasing power and experienced in the world of cruises, who seek to live experiences away from the overcrowding of the tourist destinations usually offered on cruises,” stated Rubén Ibáñez.
