The president of the Port Authority of Santos, Anderson Pomini, was the target of a search and seizure warrant in the new phase of Operation Sem Desconto, launched by the Federal Police (PF) this Thursday (11/13), which investigates the billion-dollar scheme of undue discounts against retirees from the National Social Security Institute (INSS), revealed by Metrópoles.

A lawyer, Pomini is linked to the PSB and an ally of the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Márcio França, who was the one who appointed him to the position at the Port of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, when he was Minister of Ports and Airports in the Lula (PT) government. Arrested this Thursday, the former president of INSS Alessandro Stefanutto was a member of the PSB before moving to the PDT.

There are no details yet about Pomini’s involvement in the scheme. The decision by Minister André Mendonça, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), which authorized this Thursday’s operation, is under seal. In total, ten people were arrested and 63 search and seizure warrants were executed.

To Metrópoles, Pomini stated that he has “no relation with the INSS.” “Any mention of my name could be due to the regular exercise of law, whether in favor of an individual or legal entity served by our office. Finally, I also clarify that I have not had access to the case files and, therefore, I am completely unaware of the content of the investigations,” he said.
