During the evening hours yesterday, the Port Authority of Kimolos was informed that a passenger-tourist (/R) vessel, flying the Greek flag, with nine persons on board (Serbian nationals), during its berthing procedure at the port of Psathi, collided with a professional-tourist (/R) vessel and a private vessel, which were moored stern-to at an adjacent point.
The collision caused material damage to the /R and the private vessel, while no injuries were reported and no marine pollution was observed. By the Port Station of Kimolos, the departure of the /R was prohibited until the submission of a seaworthiness certificate from the classification society monitoring it.
