The 2nd Ordinary General Assembly of the Piri Reis University Alumni Association was held on November 22 at the Rıdvan Kartal Conference Hall. At the general assembly, which saw intense participation from alumni, the association’s activity reports were evaluated and work topics for the upcoming period were discussed. The new term management staff was also determined within the scope of the meeting.
The general assembly took place with the participation of industry representatives as well as alumni. Captain Damla Gerzeli, Board Member of the Turkish Uzakyol Captains Association, and Nevzat Sonay Üler, Board Member of the Ship Brokers Association, attended the general assembly and supported the process.
During the general assembly process, comprehensive exchanges of views were held with the goals of strengthening the institutional ties of alumni with the university, developing a culture of solidarity, and enabling the Piri Reis University alumni community to attain a more effective structure.
As a result of the election held, the new term board of directors was formed as follows:

At the Handover Ceremony held after the general assembly, Honorary Membership Certificates were presented to Piri Reis University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Kamil Sağ, 2nd Term Rector Prof. Dr. Oral Erdoğan, and Rector Prof. Dr. Nafiz Arıca. This presentation was made in recognition of their valuable contributions to the development of the university and the strengthening of the alumni community’s institutional memory.
In a statement made by the Piri Reis University Alumni Association, it was expressed that the general assembly process was an important step that increased alumni solidarity, strengthened institutional cooperation, and shaped the future of the alumni community. The statement also noted that in the upcoming period, studies aimed at alumni will be further expanded and continued.
