The volumes of regasified LNG by companies consolidated by Snam in the first nine months of 2025 amount to 5.44 billion cubic meters (+1.94 billion cubic meters compared to the first nine months of 2024; +55.4%), out of a national total of approximately 14.8 billion cubic meters.
This is learned from the company’s note on the results for the first nine months, which dedicates a specific chapter to the activity of its regasification terminals (Piombino, Panigaglia and Ravenna). It explains, among other things, that “78 unloadings from LNG carriers (tanker loads) were carried out, compared to 51 unloadings carried out in the first nine months of 2024, against a national total of 165 (107 in the first nine months of 2024; +54.2%). The increase in regasified volumes is attributable to the higher number of unloadings from LNG carriers at the Piombino plant (32 unloadings, 27 in the first nine months of 2024) and Panigaglia (37 unloadings, 24 in the first nine months of 2024), and to the entry into operation of the Ravenna FSRU plant, operational since May 2025, which regasified a total of 0.83 billion cubic meters, carrying out 9 unloadings from LNG carriers in the period May – September”.
It is also worth highlighting that the note mentions the negotiation started for the acquisition of Higas, the company that owns the Oristano coastal LNG depot.
On the financial front, “total revenues for the first nine months of 2025 amounted to 2,846 million euros, an increase of 195 million euros, equal to 7.4%, compared to the same period in 2024”, with an “adjusted net profit for the first nine months of 2025 amounting to 1,096 million euros, an increase of 100 million euros (+10.0%) compared to the adjusted net profit for the first nine months of 2024”.
