Repair works at Changi Beach in Singapore

From 3 January to 2 July, repair works are being conducted at Changi Beach.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.01 of 2023 dated 3 January 2023, the works are being carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°23.440’N / 103°49.150’E
2) 01°23.467’N / 103°59.643’E
3) 01°23.425’N / 103°59.742’E
4) 01°23.374’N / 103°59.914’E
5) 01°23.353’N / 103°59.906’E
6) 01°23.391’N / 103°59.796’E
7) 01°23.411’N / 103°59.736’E
8) 01°23.404’N / 103°59.727’E

Repairs will be carried out to the seawall and revetment using crane barges supported by tug boats and work barges.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
