GENOA – It is called Medov Group and it is the new commercial reference brand in the sectors of shipping, supply chain logistics, and recreational boating, born from the holding company I.L. Investimenti of the Schenone family.
The new brand, which has Giulio Schenone as its president and CEO, acquires the twenty-year experience of the holding company founded in 2005, which continues to offer back-office services to the group’s companies (e.g., Finance, Treasury, HR, Procurement, General Affairs).
On the occasion of the launch of the new brand, Medov Group also formalized its latest acquisition: the company Programma Mare, a historic company from La Spezia specialized in packaging for the storage and shipping of boats internationally.
In 2024, the group recorded a consolidated turnover of approximately 103 million euros, with over 300 employees worldwide.
Medov Group now positions itself as a new, marketable commercial brand that carries the already well-known name of the oldest company in the group.

MEDOV is the oldest company in the group, hence the choice to present itself to the market with the oldest and most representative name of the Group.
It is an established reality in the maritime world. Founded as a maritime agency in 1947, in Genoa, with the advent of the Schenone family it has extended and diversified its offerings over time and is now able to offer a wide range of services and consultancy covering all branches of shipping: Maritime Agency in various sectors (Cruises, Tankers, Project, Car Carriers, containers and dry bulk), Tour Operator (Shorex, Experiences and Trains for cruise passengers, Ground) and port representation, as well as representation of Salvage companies. It operates in all Italian ports, in Southern France, and in Barcelona.
COSTAMED is a maritime agency born in 2016 from the partnership between Costa Crociere S.p.A. and Medov Group, with its main headquarters in Savona. Costamed is the general agent for Costa Crociere and AIDA Cruises and, thanks to the BU Land Experiences, manages excursions for cruise passengers in some of the main ports in the Mediterranean.
SINALEFI is a maritime agency born in 2023 from the partnership between Finsea, Medov Group and Sider Navi. It deals with agency services and assistance for maritime works in all Italian ports; it is collaborating – in particular – on the construction of the new breakwater in Genoa.

BLU NAVY is an Italian shipping company, born in 2010, in partnership with Finsea, which operates in the sector of cabotage and passenger and freight transport. It connects the island of Elba daily on the Piombino-Portoferraio route and vice versa.
In 2024 it transported over 800,000 passengers, and it is projected to reach one million passengers by 2025.
GLOBAL LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS – LOGISTICS SUPPLY CHAIN FOR CONTAINERS
MEDOV LOGISTICS, founded in 2016, is the shipping, logistics, Air Freight and supply chain logistics company of Medov Group. It provides specialized ‘just-in-time’ logistics services worldwide, including shipping (maritime and air), assistance during the refitting of cruise ships and for new constructions, and support for special projects.
DERRICK, founded in 1974 in Genoa, manages land container depots, serving the world’s major shipping companies, with filling and emptying activities and container repair (dry and reefer) at the Genoa Borzoli and Bolzaneto terminals. The company is a partnership between Medov Group and Finsea.
JANUA ALGOR, founded in 2022 by Medov Group (in partnership with Matras), is a new manager of refrigerated warehouses (chilled and frozen) based in Genoa, which offers dedicated and tailor-made services to companies that need to manage temperature-controlled goods.

AMG – Since 1998, A.M.G. Chartering srl has been a maritime brokerage and cargo transport company, with specialized brokers acting as intermediaries between shipowners and charterers active in the dry cargo transport market. A.M.G. is known among its clients and partners for its experience, reliability, and efficiency.
RECREATIONAL BOATING
SAN GIORGIO YACHTING, founded in 2010, is a maritime agency dedicated exclusively to the superyacht service sector and recreational boating in general, in Italy and the Mediterranean.
PROGRAMMA MARE – Recent acquisition – Founded in La Spezia, it is an established reality for the most important Italian recreational shipyards, thanks to specialized expertise in the production of heat-shrink covers, nautical structures, and solutions for boat shipping and storage.

THE LATEST ACQUISITION
Medov Group has recently acquired the majority of Programma Mare S.r.l., a historic company from La Spezia that has innovated traditional packaging methods for the storage and shipping of boats internationally.
The operation, which follows just months after the inauguration in June of the new Janua Algor refrigerated warehouse in Genoa Voltri, fits into the development and diversification strategy promoted by the Group, with the aim of further expanding the range of services and consolidating its presence in the European maritime, logistics, and port market.
