Seaboard Marine reported the full restart of its operations in Jamaica, following the reopening of its facilities in Montego Bay, after Hurricane Melissa passed through the country.

“Our Montego Bay office and warehouse have reopened, although certain damages are still being assessed,” stated the maritime transport company.

“Despite the damages suffered by some facilities, the Port of Montego Bay has reopened and our weekly vessel departures have resumed,” affirmed the company.

According to Seaboard Marine, the region continues to experience intermittent power cuts and limited connectivity, which may affect communications and regular business operations.

The shipping line recommended that customers with cargo arriving in Montego Bay contact its Kingston office for updated information on shipments.
