Seaspan Corporation signed a partnership with Ankeri Solutions to implement its digital platform across all its global operations, joining more than a dozen players in the maritime industry that already use the cloud-based software.

Following a trial, the shipping firm selected the tool as a modular service from Ankeri to improve its charter contract management and emissions reporting under the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).

Seaspan currently has 187 container ships and two pure car truck carriers (PCTC) in operation with a nominal fleet capacity of approximately 1.65 million TEU. The company will use the Ankeri platform to digitize, optimize, and automate its commercial, technical, and operational workflows, consolidating data into a single interface, which facilitates real-time collaboration and greater operational visibility.

Peter Jackson, Chief Technology Officer of Seaspan, stated that “at Seaspan, we constantly invest and innovate to improve customer interaction and deliver value to our global customers. This means our teams need efficient and effective tools to optimize commercial and technical operations, and to contribute to regulatory compliance. Ankeri’s industry-leading applications fully support our digital ambitions, driving better performance across our fleet and reinforcing our capacity for growth.”

“We are pleased to welcome Seaspan to the growing list of container clients that turn to our scalable software platform to achieve their digitalization goals. Working alongside Seaspan to optimize efficiency, automation, and environmental accounting, we are confident that together we can overcome digital barriers and leverage data for robust outcomes,” said Kristinn Aspelund, CEO and co-founder of Ankeri.
