At 09:15 on June 23, flight CK605 of China Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Eastern Airlines Logistics Co., Ltd., departed from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to London Stansted Airport, carrying 96.3 tons of cargo. This route is the first all-cargo air route from Shanghai to London launched by Eastern Airlines Logistics, which will inject new momentum into further densifying the logistics transport channel between China and Europe and deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

This newly opened all-cargo air route primarily carries high-value-added goods such as cross-border e-commerce parcels, high-end light industrial products, electronic components, and precision parts. On the return journey from London, in addition to transporting imported goods such as medical equipment and auto parts, it will also leverage the advantage of direct flight timeliness to load high-quality fresh products such as Atlantic salmon for delivery to China, continuously enriching the categories of imported fresh products and meeting the demand for domestic consumption upgrades.

It is reported that in 2025, Shanghai Airport will regularly serve 302 destinations in 53 countries worldwide, setting a new historical high in the number of countries served, with an annual cargo throughput reaching 4.5 million tons. Shanghai Airport has developed into a core node of the logistics network in the Asia-Pacific region and even globally, providing strong support for maintaining the stability of the global industrial and supply chains and assisting Shanghai’s high-level opening-up.
