On June 10, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuildingdelivered another 210,000DWT Newcastlemaxbulkcarrier “Validus Australis” to Japan’sSantoku Senpaku.
“Validus Australis”is the 8th ship successfully delivered byWaigaoqiaoto Santoku Senpaku. It is also the first ship of this batch of 210,000 DWT bulk carriers.
This series of shipshas a length of 299.68 meters, a width of 50 meters, a depth of 25.20 meters, a design draft of 16.1 meters, and a design speed of 14.2 knots. It meetsTIER III emission standard and the latest HSCRrequirements.
So far, Waigaoqiaohas delivered a total of 10 /2.176 million DWT in the first half of the year. Under the situation of significant impact of the epidemic, it has achieved more than half of the ship delivery tasks, more than half of the orders and more than half of the operating revenue ahead of schedule.
