By 2018 at the earliest the hard-pressed bulk market will be able to look forward to a gradual improvement in the global shipping industry’s indisputably hardest-hit sector. Figures from Athens-based Allied Shipbroking show that 496 bulk vessels are still waiting to be delivered from yards in the remaining months of 2016, after 372 newbuildings were already delivered in the first seven months of the year.
