SITC reshapes China–Japan service network

SITC has carried out a major reconfiguration of its China–Japan service structure over the past two months, according to Alphaliner, merging some loops and relaunching others to maintain full coverage across key Japanese ports.

The carrier has combined its LKT+LTT loops with most of the former /SKT6 services to form the new LFT+SKT2. Ports that previously formed part of /SKT6 but were not absorbed into the merged loop — including Shanghai, Hitachinaka and Sendai — have been reassigned to a newly created SKT6.

Updated loops are as follows:

• LKT+LTT (merged) – 3 × 1,000 TEU

Lianyungang – Rizhao – Qingdao – Tokyo – Kawasaki – Yokohama – Nagoya – Lianyungang

• /SKT6 (/closed) – 3 × 1,000 TEU

Shanghai – Taicang – Moji – Nagoya – Tokyo – Kawasaki – Yokohama – Shanghai – Nagoya – Tokyo – Hitachinaka – Sendai – Shanghai

• LKT+SKT2 (new combination) – 3 × 1,000 TEU

Rizhao – Lianyungang – Qingdao – Tokyo – Kawasaki – Yokohama – Nagoya – Taicang – Moji – Nagoya – Tokyo – Yokohama – Rizhao

• SKT6 (new) – 2 × 1,000 TEU

Shanghai – Nagoya – Hitachinaka – Sendai – Shanghai
