SkyFi has joined forces with ICEYE US to bring radar-based Earth observation to a wider audience. The collaboration allows users to task ICEYE’s satellites directly through SkyFi’s digital platform, ensuring all-weather, around-the-clock access to critical geospatial data.

SkyFi, the Austin-based Earth Intelligence Platform, has announced a new partnership with ICEYE US, integrating the latter’s synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite data into its digital platform. The move opens direct access to ICEYE’s radar constellation, the largest commercial fleet of its kind, for SkyFi’s growing user base across defence, maritime, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.

Through this integration, users can now request or “task” ICEYE’s satellites on demand and access archived radar imagery through SkyFi’s web and mobile applications. Unlike optical imaging, SAR technology captures data through clouds, smoke, and darkness, making it invaluable for time-sensitive operations such as disaster response, port monitoring, and night-time maritime surveillance.

“Partnering with ICEYE US brings all-weather, world-class SAR capabilities to the SkyFi platform paving the way for future initiatives that fundamentally change how the public and private sectors access and utilise earth observation,” said Luke Fischer, Chief Executive Officer of SkyFi. “Whether our customers are monitoring illegal fishing at night, assessing flood damage through storm clouds, or continuously tracking the movement of military hardware, they now have a fast, reliable tool to get the insights they need, when they need them most. This is a game-changer for industries from disaster response to supply chain management to national security.”

ICEYE’s radar satellites can produce imagery at resolutions ranging from 50 centimetres to 15 metres, offering flexible imaging modes and wide-area scans of more than 10,000 square kilometres. “This partnership with SkyFi fundamentally changes how organisations access and utilise SAR data, removing traditional barriers while maintaining the quality and reliability our customers expect,” said Eric Jensen, Chief Executive Officer of ICEYE US. “SkyFi’s intuitive platform makes it simple for anyone to task our satellites.”

The partnership reflects SkyFi’s wider goal of making satellite data more accessible to non-specialist users through a simplified, self-service model. As industries demand faster, weather-independent intelligence, the integration of ICEYE’s radar capabilities positions SkyFi as a key player in the growing market for persistent Earth observation and maritime monitoring.
