Star Bulk got the best start to an “uncertain” year for dry bulk

After a strong first quarter for dry bulk carriers, the market appears to be declining, according to industry insiders.

Star Bulk had the best start to 2022 in comparison to four other dry bulk carriers. Combined, Norden, Eagle Bulk, Golden Ocean, Star Bulk and Belships bagged a profit of USD 525.4m in the first quarter, but the bulk market is now looking more uncertain.
