San Vicente Terminal Internacional (SVTI) held a new working meeting with the truckers’ union, with the aim of advancing improvements to perfect the operations of the logistics chain linked to the port facility.

“We continue the permanent work with the truckers’ union, where we seek to generate constant improvement opportunities to promote a more sustainable logistics chain and a solid relationship with our users,” communicated the concessionaire of Puertos de Talcahuano.

“In the last meeting, our Head of Risk Prevention, José Lara Espinoza, presented the critical safety standards that apply to every vehicle that travels within the terminal. On the other hand, our Security Officer, shared the results of the enrollment system and the implementation of technology for speed control,” he added.

For his part, Claudio Azócar López, Head of Logistics Services at SVTI, addressed the process improvements aimed at reducing the trucks’ dwell time in the terminal, which is part of a commitment made in June 2019.

Meanwhile, the Operations Manager of SVTI, Werner Sherman Guzmán, provided a strategic vision on how truckers play a fundamental role in the logistics chain of the terminal located in San Vicente bay.

“The union valued this instance, highlighting that it represents an opportunity to present their ideas, which will be part of future solutions,” concluded STVI.
