The Professional Association of Seafarers of the Spanish Maritime Administration (ASPROMAR) and the Catalan Association of Merchant Marine Captains (ACCMM) will organize, on the next October 8 at the Barcelona Nautical Faculty (FNB), the 1st Assembly of Merchant Seafarer Groups of Spain.
The first assembly will have a marked focus on talent, given that according to the organization, “the shortage of professionals in the world merchant marine is a fact that greatly worries the main protagonists of the maritime business.”
And it is that, as ASPROMAR and ACCMM point out, “Spain is not immune to this situation,” because a long list of profiles are sought, such as “seafarers to crew the ships, seafarers with adequate salaries and welfare on board, or seafarers in the maritime Administration.”
