On Thursday evening, the storm and heavy rainfall throughout the district of Zonguldak also negatively affected the boats anchored in Bozhane Port. A mini yacht, approximately 7.5 meters long, moored in the port, took on water and sank due to the effect of the waves.
Following the incident, dive teams from the Karadeniz Ereğli District Police Department Underwater Group Command initiated work in the area. The yacht, secured to a winch with ropes by the divers, was pulled to the shore and brought to land after a rescue operation lasting approximately 3 hours.
Meanwhile, it was learned that another boat within the military port also sank during the same storm and was brought to land with the help of a military-owned crane. Thus, it was reported that a total of two boats sank in the storm.
