Fedespedi has officially inaugurated its new governance and technical structure for the 2025-2028 term. The president Alessandro Pitto, reconfirmed in his position last June – informs the national federation of international shipping companies – has proceeded with the appointment of the new members of the presidential committee and the presidents of the advisory bodies, the fundamental technical organs of the Federation.
The renewal reflects Fedespedi’s will to ensure the maximum competence and participation from the associated companies and records a significant turnover in the working groups, with almost half of the members (43%) being newly appointed, and an increase in female presence which reaches 25% of the total: a figure that highlights the Federation’s attention towards more inclusive representation. Another crucial element is the broad territorial coverage, with the members of the new advisory bodies coming from 20 territorial associations adhering to Fedespedi that represent and support international shipping companies across the Italian territory.
The advisory bodies, the association’s note reminds, have the strategic task of deeply analyzing critical issues, development factors, and thematic areas with the greatest impact for the activity of international shipping companies.
Regarding the establishment of the new team and the working method that will guide the three-year period, president Pitto commented: “In a national and international context that continues to present complex and rapidly evolving challenges, we aimed to build a group that is an expression of a working method based on participation, competence, and a spirit of service. I am proud to lead this new team which sees the entry of a new generation of managers and entrepreneurs, confirming the growing interest of companies to be protagonists in the associative life”.
The new appointments to the vice-presidency resulting from the last Board of Directors, which took place on Thursday, September 25th, were selected to enhance areas of specialized technical competence and to guide the organizational innovation of the sector: Mario Bartoli (Alha Group) was appointed vice president with responsibility for the Development of System Training Services; Debora Schisano (Jas jet air service) assumes the role of vice president with responsibility for Legal Affairs and Sector Regulations, and Matteo Somma (Dhl global forwarding), is the new vice president with responsibility for Shipping and Port Affairs.
