On September 9, the 8,600-car car carrier No. 1 built by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International and CSSC Trade for South Korea’s HMM Shipping was named and delivered in Nansha, Guangzhou. The naming guest, Ms. Yan Enshu, named the ship “GLOVIS TITAN”.

According to reports, the ship has a total length of 200 meters, a width of 38 meters, a design draft of 9.2 meters, a design speed of 19 knots, and adopts an /fuel dual-fuel propulsion system, which meets the International Maritime Organization’s Tier III emission standards, and has the characteristics of green environmental protection, energy saving and efficiency, safety and reliability.

The ship is equipped with an advanced intelligent ship system, which can realize the intelligent management of ship navigation, engine room, cargo and other systems, and effectively improve the efficiency and safety of ship operations. At the same time, the ship also adopts a number of energy-saving and emission reduction technologies, such as hull line optimization, propeller fairing, main engine exhaust gas waste heat recovery system, etc., to further reduce the ship’s energy consumption and emissions.

In recent years, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International has undertaken nearly 40 car carrier orders with its own technical advantages. Up to now, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International has successfully built and delivered 17 7,000-car LNG dual-fuel vehicle carriers and 3 8,600-car LNG dual-fuel vehicle carriers, with a total of 144,800 transport spaces.
