A group of individuals installed incendiary barricades on La Pólvora road, at the height of Porvenir Bajo, blocking the flow of vehicular traffic in both directions of the route.

In this regard, Carabineros Región de Valparaíso reported on “vehicular traffic suspended on La Pólvora route in the Porvenir Bajo sector, at kilometer 84 in both directions, due to incendiary barricades. Prefer alternative routes. Carabineros on site”.

It should be mentioned that the route is used mainly by trucks mobilizing to or from the Port of Valparaíso. The incendiary elements were installed at the exit of Tunnel 1, in the Playa Ancha sector, a point that connects directly with the roads to the port facility and the upper area.

Currently, Terminal No. 1, concessioned to Terminal Pacífico Sur (TPS), is without vessels, as the container ship Ever Linking departed around 15:00 in compliance with its itinerary. According to the shipping schedule of the Empresa Portuaria Valparaíso, the entry of another vessel is not expected until 23:00 hours on Tuesday, October 7.

Meanwhile, at Terminal No. 2, operated by Terminal Portuario Valparaíso (TPV), the bulk carrier HG Barcelona remains moored at Site No. 8. This is due to the suspension of operations resulting from the stoppage being carried out by two unions.

It should be mentioned that a group of port workers installed incendiary barricades on streets near the Port of Valparaíso during the morning of Tuesday, October 7, which caused the interruption of vehicular traffic for just over 30 minutes.
