Norwegian Aqua was delivered to Norwegian Cruise Lines at a delivery ceremony held at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard

With a gross tonnage of 156,300 and a length of approximately 322 m, Norwegian Aqua is 10% larger than the first two ships in the Prima class, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.

Fincantieri, which built the ship, said, “The ship offers guests a range of unique experiences, including the world’s first hybrid roller coaster with a water slide, the Glow Court interactive digital sports complex and the Aqua Game Zone, a multifunctional entertainment area featuring immersive games and virtual reality. Norwegian Aqua also features the largest 360° outdoor promenade ever built, Ocean Boulevard.”

The delivery ceremony took place at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard and was attended by key leaders from both companies.

In addition to this delivery, Fincantieri is preparing for the launching ceremony of Norwegian Aqua’s sister ship, Norwegian Luna. Norwegian Luna is set to sail Q2 2026.

Fincantieri said, “This milestone highlights the ongoing collaboration between Fincantieri and Norwegian Cruise Line, reinforced by the recent announcement of a historic order for four cruise ships, marking the largest-ever vessels to be built for NCL by Fincantieri.
