On April 29, with the “Jingzhuang 2” vessel driving the first pile, it marked the official commencement of the Jiangsu Hantong Yingji Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. deep-sea intelligent equipment manufacturing base and supporting wharf project.
The project is located approximately 2.5 kilometers upstream of the Sutong Yangtze River Highway Bridge, making it the nearest 300,000-tonne outfitting wharf upstream of the Sutong Bridge. The start of construction is of great significance for enhancing the functions of the Tonghai operation area of Nantong Port and serving the development of the deep-sea intelligent equipment manufacturing industry.
The total investment of the project is 5.5 billion yuan. It will involve the construction of one painting workshop (one spray booth with three curing chambers), one 300,000-tonne marine engineering dock, one “干”-shaped wharf, and corresponding supporting facilities within the existing plant area (No. 6 Dongfang Avenue). The plan includes the construction of two 300,000-tonne outfitting berths, one 100,000-tonne outfitting berth, three 50,000-tonne outfitting berths, one 20,000-tonne outfitting berth, and three workboat berths.
Among these, the marine engineering dock has a total length of 545 meters, a width of 128 meters, and a depth of 14.5 meters. The effective dimensions of the dock chamber are 530 meters in length and 128 meters in width. Both sides and the rear of the marine engineering dock are equipped with assembly yards covering approximately 80 mu. The “干”-shaped wharf consists of a first-line wharf, a second-line wharf, and approach bridges. The inner side of the first-line wharf and the second-line wharf are both divided into upstream and downstream sections by the approach bridges. The platform length of the first-line wharf is 800 meters (upstream width 28 meters, downstream width 32 meters). The outer side features two 300,000-tonne outfitting berths; the upstream inner side features one 100,000-tonne outfitting berth and three workboat berths; the downstream inner side features one 50,000-tonne outfitting berth. The platform length of the second-line wharf is 760 meters (upstream width 28 meters, downstream width 32 meters): the upstream section features two 50,000-tonne outfitting berths, and the downstream section features one 20,000-tonne outfitting berth that also serves as a material berth. The 1# approach bridge is 226 meters long, the 2# approach bridge is 380 meters long, and both approach bridges have a width of 24 meters.
Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 120,000 tonnes of deep-sea marine engineering wind power equipment and 180,000 tonnes of ships. This will significantly enhance the supporting capacity of marine engineering equipment manufacturing in Nantong, Jiangsu, injecting new impetus into the development of the regional marine economy.
It is understood that Jiangsu Hantong Yingji Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. is affiliated with the Hantong Group. Its main business includes the manufacturing of high-end small and medium-sized LNG carriers, stainless steel chemical tankers, marine LNG tanks, offshore wind power foundation steel structures, booster stations, converter stations, and other ship and marine engineering equipment. The company covers an area of approximately 1.16 million square meters, possesses 1,700 meters of deep-water shoreline, and has an annual steel processing capacity of 200,000 tonnes (including 30,000 tonnes of stainless steel processing). Main facilities include: preparation, hull, and pipe outfitting workshops covering 260,000 square meters; hull and pipe processing workshops covering 140,000 square meters; an outfitting “干”-shaped wharf measuring 1,600 meters in length, 22 meters in width, with a water depth of 12.5 meters; and other corresponding supporting equipment and facilities.
