Recently, under the supervision of Rongcheng Customs, a branch of Fuzhou Customs, the “Huashan Ro-Ro” vessel carrying more than 3,200 automobiles slowly departed from Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port, heading for Saudi Arabia. This is the 27th batch of complete vehicles exported from this port area this year. It is understood that the cumulative number of automobiles exported from this port area this year has exceeded 30,000.
As a core hub for automobile exports on the southeast coast, Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port has formed a stable ro-ro shipping network, with an average of 4–5 ro-ro vessels departing per month, covering 19 overseas countries and regions. Since the launch of automobile ro-ro export business in January 2023, a cumulative total of 84,965 automobiles have been exported.
Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port boasts unique advantages in deep-water coastline, having built and operated 14 docks and 24 berths, capable of berthing 200,000-ton giant vessels around the clock. Relying precisely on this world-class port capacity, the park has successfully forged a virtuous cycle path of “gathering industries through the port, and revitalizing the port through industries.”
The chemical new materials industry cluster, represented by Wanhua Chemical and Zhongjing Petrochemical, has demonstrated explosive vitality here. The world’s largest integrated alkane production base built by Zhongjing Petrochemical and Wanhua Chemical’s polyurethane industrial chain support each other, forming a complete closed loop from raw material import, production and processing, to product export. Through the “port in front, factory behind” layout, bulk raw materials are directly delivered to enterprise workshops via dedicated docks, and finished products can be quickly loaded onto ships for export upon leaving the production line. Meanwhile, with the opening of the province’s first South Pacific route and the “Ice Silk Road” China-Europe Arctic Express, Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port has built a trade network radiating globally, enabling “Jiangyin-made” products to reach the world more conveniently.
Leveraging the port advantages, the wind power industry has thrived in the port area — at the Fujian Three Gorges Offshore Wind Power Industrial Park, offshore wind turbine units that have broken world records are rolling off the production line one after another. As the nation’s first carbon-neutral industrial park, it brings together industry giants such as Dongfang Electric and Goldwind, forming a complete industrial chain from complete wind turbines, blades, to towers and structural components. In 2025, the world’s largest 17-megawatt direct-drive floating offshore wind turbine unit with the largest single-unit power and rotor diameter successfully rolled off the production line here, marking that China’s offshore wind power equipment technology has entered the forefront of the world.

In recent years, Fuqing’s level of opening-up has been continuously upgraded, achieving a leap from “one-way investment attraction” to “two-way opening-up.” Relying on the deep-water port advantages of Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port, it has continuously expanded international shipping channels, opened multiple international routes including the “Ice Silk Road,” and smoothed logistics channels to Russia, Central Asia, and Europe, helping “Fuqing-made” products set sail overseas.
In 2025, the chemical industry output value of the park exceeded the 100-billion-yuan mark for the first time, successfully ranking among the “14th Five-Year Plan” competitive chemical parks, placing 48th among 729 chemical parks nationwide.
