On August 6, the shipbuilding segment of CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd., under China State Shipbuilding Corporation, operated at full capacity, successively completing the milestones of launching two vessels and keel laying, fully demonstrating the achievements of all Chengxi shipbuilders in battling high temperatures and storms.
At 8:38 a.m., the 56th 82,000-ton bulk carrier built for Lianghe Group was successfully launched at the company’s main site. Despite encountering 11 consecutive days of rain, 13 days of high temperatures above 35°C, and a 3-day work stoppage due to Typhoon Bavi, the vessel’s slipway cycle was only 42 days, profoundly embodying Chengxi’s fine tradition of “jointly tackling challenges and striving for excellence.”
Meanwhile, the 12th 50,000-ton MR /chemical tanker built for Singapore’s Singfar company was undocked 3 days ahead of the original schedule, with undocking completeness reaching a new high, laying a solid foundation for subsequent quay outfitting.
On the same day, the reference block of the 57th 82,000-ton bulk carrier built for Guangdong Yuedian Shipping Co., Ltd. was successfully placed on the slipway for assembly.
