Within this framework, strict recommendations were made to the captain, particularly regarding the failure to take appropriate care for the placement of the PwD (Person with Disability) and their companion in a properly configured and safe space, but instead they traveled in the garage.
At the same time, under strict orders from the Central Service, inspections are being intensified, especially on RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) open-type vessels, to verify that appropriate care is being taken by the ships’ captains to prevent similar incidents in the future, with the primary objective being the smooth and unimpeded movement of PwDs and their companions, as well as the rest of the passenger public.
