Singapore-headquartered bunker firm Uni-Fuels has appointed Robert Love as general manager, with a focus on expanding the company’s operations in the United States.

Love announced the move via LinkedIn, stating: “I’m pleased to share that I have accepted a general manager role with Singapore-based Uni-Fuels, where I will help expand the company’s presence in the United States.”

The appointment follows Uni-Fuels’ job posting in March, where the firm announced that it was recruiting a general manager to lead the commercial strategy and bunker trading operations of a new Houston office.

Based in Texas, Love has worked in various roles within the Lone Star State over the past 16 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. Previous positions include Vice President of Marine Logistics at transportation firm Tradewinds Marine; Senior Managing Partner at offshore fuel supply companies UET Marine and Gulf Coast Fuel Supply; and Global Fuel Manager at ship owner and operator American Eagle Tankers.

Love also served as Senior Managing Partner at energy brokerage Caribbean Fuelings; Fuel Commodity Manager at Royal Caribbean Cruises and Celebrity Cruise Lines; Assistant General Manager at Moran Towage and Transportation; and Caribbean Operations Manager at Atlantic Petroleum.

Uni-Fuels is a bunker trader and broker that operates across a number of locations in addition to Houston, with staff located in Bangkok, Dubai, Limassol, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore.

In recent months, the company has been advertising positions for new offices in both London and Piraeus.
