Upgraded Maritime Speaker Bureau connects events with some 450 women experts

TheMaritime Speaker Bureau, supported by theIMOandWISTA International, has undergone a major upgrade, introducing new features to help event organisers more easily identify, assess, and engage top women speakers from across the global maritime sector.

With the addition ofendorsementsandpeer recommendations, the platform now enables organisers to build morebalanced,engagingandcrediblepanels, helping elevate the quality of maritime events worldwide.

“This Bureau is not just a tool, it’s a catalyst for change,”statedElpi Petraki (pictured), President of WISTA International.“By giving organisersaccess to top-calibre women speakersfromacross the globe, we are removing barriers and enabling them to shape events that are more dynamic, more representative, and ultimately more impactful. Since its launch, the Maritime Speaker Bureau has received over180 direct speaker enquiriesand currently listsnearly 450 women speakers. Each profile includes thetopicsspeakers are happy to present on and theregionswhere they are available to speak, either in person or online.

The Maritime Speaker Bureau says its upgraded platform ensures organisers can now quickly find speakers with relevant experience and fresh perspectives. “We now have the tools, the technology, and nearly 450 women from across the industry ready to share their insights,”added Petraki.“The Speaker Bureau makes it easy to find them. There’s no longer any excuse for unbalanced panels.”
