Jackson Offshore Operators (JOO) has invested in digitalisation for centralised data management and to monitor fuel consumption and emissions

The US platform supply vessel (PSVs) owner has renewed its contract with Marseille, France-headquartered Opsealog for fleet digitalisation and data analytics.

It has been using this technology on its six PSVs operating in the Gulf of Mexico supplying deepwater production systems since 2021.

JOO’s primary use of Opsealog is to integrate data collation and analysis to enhance operational efficiency and meet the performance demands of charterers such as Shell, BP and Chevron.

Digitalisation has yielded significant benefits for JOO, providing data-driven insights on key performance indicators and improved accountability to charterers.

Other benefits include eliminating manual daily reporting, centralised data management, and monitoring vessel fuel consumption and emissions per activity and location. The provision of water state reports has helped JOO to comply with US regulations.

“Our successful collaboration with Opsealog has well-positioned us among our peers in the offshore sector’s digitalisation journey,” said Jackson Offshore chief operating officer Matthew Rigdon.

“With improved visibility, centralised data, and optimised service delivery, we have achieved greater efficiency across multiple areas of our operations.”

JOO is using Opsealog’s reporting software Streamlog on its PSVs to replace manual reporting processes and its performance management application Marinsights for data analytics.

“Over the past four years, our collaboration has demonstrated the transformative power of digitalisation in the maritime industry, and we look forward to continuing to support JOO in its digital journey,” said Opsealog account manager Hugo Prigent.
