More than 30 ships involved in the transport of crude oil and LNG
Washington– The United States has imposed several sanctions against an international network linked to Iran’s oil and gas exports, blacklisting more than 50 individuals and companies and identifying more than 30 ships involved in the transport of crude oil and LNG. This is the largest US action against Iran since 2018. Among the entities targeted is also the Chinese terminal Rizhao Shihua Crude Oil, located in Shandong province, which handles about 9% of China’s total crude oil imports. The plant allegedly received cargoes from ships belonging to the so-called Iranian “shadow fleet”.
