The ports managed by the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia, moved 832,969 TEU between January and February 2026, which represents a decrease of 3.71% compared to the same period of the previous year. In terms of total traffic, the APV channeled 11.66 million tons of goods in the accumulated first two months of the year, which is 7.81% less than in 2025.
Full containers, directly linked to import and export operations, reached 613,886 TEU, with a variation of -6.03%.
In February, the total traffic of Valenciaport reached 5,932,095 tons compared to 6,433,072 in the same month of 2025, a decrease of 7.79%,
Regarding containers, also in February, the total traffic stood at 429,239 TEU compared to 444,802 TEU in the comparison, a drop of 3.50% (-15,563 TEU).
In year-on-year data, the total traffic was 79,073,922 tons compared to 81,095,742 (-2.49%). In containers, 5,630,566 TEU were recorded against 5,557,934 TEU (+1.31%),
By country, China remains the main trading partner of Valenciaport, with 146,202 containers managed so far this year and a growth of 18.45%. Following the Asian giant are Algeria, with 46,353 TEU (-7.05%); the United States, with 45,625 (-19.93%); and Turkey, with 32,871 TEU (-18.16%), among the main origins and destinations of the container traffic of the Valencian precinct.
Among the markets that recorded the largest traffic increases in the January and February accumulated, the United Kingdom stands out, with an increase of 54.38%, followed by China (+18.45%), France (+11.26%), Bangladesh (+9.67%), Vietnam (+7.58%) and Morocco (+6.11%), reflecting the dynamism of several European, Asian and Mediterranean environment markets in trade exchanges with Valenciaport.
On the opposite side, the most pronounced declines are recorded in Italy (-32.20%), Saudi Arabia (-30.80%) and Mexico (-28.69%). The United States (-19.93%), India (-18.53%), Turkey (-18.16%), Israel (-15.03%) and South Korea (-12.45%) also show relevant setbacks, within the evolution of container traffic channeled through the Valencian ports.
Vehicle traffic during February grew 30.27%, with a total of 45,154 units. So far this year, 80,957 units have passed through the terminals of Valencia and Sagunto, 10.62% more.
Finally, passenger traffic recorded an increase of 10.11% in February, reaching 53,644 people. During the first two months of 2026, a total of 131,421 travelers passed through the Valenciaport facilities, 11.23% more.
