Greek maritime technology start-up Vsltec has closed a €540,000 pre-seed funding round to accelerate the growth of its digital procurement platform for shipping companies and service providers.

The round was backed by a variety of figures from within the Greek shipping industry, including Sifis Vardinoyannis, CEO of SEKAVIN, Dimitri Vassos, Managing Partner of HFW Greece, Nikolas and Stratos Tsalamanios, Co-CEOs of Seaven Tanker and Dry Management, and the executive team at Petrochem General Management.

Vsltec’s online platform offers shipping companies access to a network of maritime service providers across more than 4,500 ports, aiming to streamline technical service procurement, improve transparency, and reduce turnaround times through a centralised interface.

The system is designed to support both ship managers and suppliers, with features for booking, service tracking and communication.

The new funding will be used to expand the platform’s functionality and support market growth, building on current usage across approximately 70 vessels and 1,800 service providers.
