Kongsberg Digital and VesselMan have entered into a partnership agreement to provideVesselMan’s cloud-based system, which digitalises ship management processes,as part of Kongsberg’s Kognifaiplatform.
The partnership aims to support maritime industry practicessuch dry-docking andretro-fitting through digitising and removing paper-based planning.
The open and collaborative digital platform willmake these typically expensive processes cheaper and more efficient through planning, remote monitoring, and online information sharing.
Matthew Robert Cagienard Duke, VP Digital Platform at Kongsberg Digital, said: “In Kongsberg, we believe that having an open digital platform and an open ecosystem is essential for the customers’ benefit.
“VesselMan’s solution is an example of a product that we wanted to add to our digital platform because it can digitalize a difficult and paper-based process.
