CALGARY’s westjet and the International Association of Machinists reached a tentative agreement on their first collective agreement, with both sides awaiting the ratification vote from the rank and file, reports the American Journal of Transportation.
‘WestJet is pleased to have reached a tentative agreement that recognises the important contributions of our load controllers,’ said WestJet Airlines president Diederik Pen.
‘They play an integral role in the safety and performance of our operations and this agreement recognises the talent, dedication and hard work of this collective group.’
