Wisdom Marine Group has released its operating data for the first half of 2025.
In the first half of 2025, Wisdom Marine Group achieved operating revenue of NT$7.32 billion (US$230 million), a year-on-year decrease of 28.3%. Cumulative operating profit for the period was NT$840 million (US$26.431 million), down 76.2% year-on-year, while cumulative pre-tax profit stood at NT$300 million (US$9.283 million).
Wisdom Marine Group attributed the decline in performance to the weak bulk carrier market conditions since the second half of 2024.
In June 2025 alone, the company reported operating revenue of NT$1.19 billion (US$40.077 million), down 29.2% year-on-year. Operating profit for the month was NT$210 million (US$7.088 million), a decrease of 68.3%, while pre-tax profit fell 93.1% to NT$39.079 million (US$1.317 million). Pre-tax earnings per share were NT$0.05.
Wisdom Marine Group’s fleet primarily consists of Handysize and Pana max vessels, including bulk carriers, log carriers, and twin-deck multipurpose ships. In recent years, the company has been renewing its fleet at a pace of 6-8 newbuildings per year.
As of now, Wisdom Marine Group operates 132 vessels. Additionally, it holds orders for 15 newbuildings, comprising two 82,000 DWT and thirteen 40,000 DWT vessels.
