The Nodo Bioceánico Arica 2025 event concluded with the attendance of 500 people. This meeting took place in the capital of the Arica and Parinacota Region over three days, bringing together various actors from the logistics and foreign trade sectors of the Andean macro-region.

The event was held with the objective of establishing agreements to promote the transit of goods through the Central Bioceanic Corridor, benefiting territories in Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, and Peru.

The sessions were held at the Antay Hotel, where the activities were marked by the presence of international and Chilean authorities. Furthermore, prominent actors from the involved industries presented the ideas and initiatives that, from their roles, will help propel the Andean Macro-region in the global foreign trade scenario.

Diego Paco, regional governor of Arica and Parinacota, emphasized that “we want to thank all the guests, the governors of Rondonia, Beni, Oruro, Cochabamba, Chuquisaca, who traveled thousands of kilometers with the aim of being and being part of this Central Bioceanic Node. We, the authorities of the region, must work to regain people’s trust and show that it is indeed possible to get things done, that this is no longer just a dream, it is a reality.”

Andrea Manríquez, deputy director of entrepreneurship and director of the Central Bioceanic Corridor project, commented that “we have realized that the participation and turnout for this event has been very relevant. It has allowed us to identify the challenges that, as a region, we will face in the short, medium, and long term, and which will allow us to articulate this corridor.”

Marcelo Riquelme, vice-chancellor of Inacap Arica campus, underlined that “we are very happy with what is happening. There must be a connection between the private world, the public world, logistics, and international collaboration. This event seeks to integrate all these variables so that we have a good result. We are sure that this will work out, because there is willingness from all parties.”

“There is a large attendance not only from the regional sphere but also internationally, with neighboring countries that are interested in promoting this coordination space through the territory and logistics of a corridor, mainly to enhance not only Arica as a port of exit but also other sectors involved in the transportation of products to and from these neighboring countries,” highlighted José Miguel Benavente, executive vice-president of the Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (Corfo).
