With seven inaugural calls in total and three more cruise lines scheduled to visit before the end of the season, Dover Cruise has seen a diverse collection of ships call throughout the year. The latest was the World Voyager, as part of the 21-night Scotland and France Odyssey.
Callings like these have connected thousands of new guests with the culture, sights, and landmarks of Kent in 2025. The port also marked the debut of calls from Silversea’s Silver Dawn and the recently renovated Crystal Serenity in the last two months.
Before setting sail for the Port of Rouen, France, guests enjoyed excursions to Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral, and had the opportunity to explore Dover on foot. A commemorative plaque exchange took place on board with Councilor Edward Biggs, the Mayor of Dover, and the ship’s captain.
Peter Wright, Cruise Director for the Port of Dover, stated that “We were proud to welcome the elegant World Voyager and showcase Kent as an excellent autumn destination for cruises of all sizes. Our famous castles, cathedrals, and coastline, along with picturesque villages and medieval towns, make this corner of the UK a perfect stop for any cruise at any time of year. I thank the wonderful team at Mystic Cruises for choosing Dover; we look forward to welcoming them again.”
David Sagrista, Senior Director of Operations for Mystic Cruises, added that “For Mystic Cruises and Atlas Ocean Voyages, it is always a privilege to operate in destinations that stand out for their authenticity and unique character. We differentiate ourselves by the places we choose: each port must be truly special to be part of our itineraries.”
“In this sense, Dover is an exceptional port, not only for its strategic location but also for the excellence of its infrastructure and the warm welcome we have received. It is a great pleasure to celebrate the World Voyager’s inaugural call here and to reaffirm our commitment to returning to this port, which perfectly represents the best of the UK,” Sagrista concluded.
