Yacht Servant transports inland freighters to Oman

DYT Yacht Transport’s latest addition to fleet, Yacht Servant, loaded the MSC Navitas and MSC Petran, heading for Port of Constanta, Oman. According to the vessel’s AIS data, it is currently sailing in the Celtic sea off the French coast.

MCS Navitas and MCS Petran, inland freighters, both measuring 135 by 14.20 meters (421 TEU), were purchased by a trading line from the Bosman Shipping Group and Jiskoot VOF, shipyard-independent shipbuilders RensenDriessen noted, adding that more vessels will transport soon.

DYT Yacht Transport christened the Yacht Servant in early June in Palma de Mallorca. The vessel has over 6,300 square metres of deck space and measures 214.17 metres in length and 46 metres across the beam with a draft of 4.6 metres. It also features a new specialised deck located behind the bridge built to accommodate tenders, containers and small race boats.

DYT took delivery of its purpose-built semi-submersible vessel, Yacht Servant at the start of the year at Yantai CIMC Raffles Shipyard on China’s Shandong Peninsula. Yacht Servant provides virtually double the capacity of its predecessors. The IMO Tier-III compliant vessel is also 32 percent more fuel efficient, while her 6,380 square metre deck space – 30 percent larger than her sister ship Yacht Express – facilitates the transport of more vessels per crossing, including deep draft sailing yachts.
