During the exchange session, Deng Hui, General Manager of Yuchai Marine Power, introduced that thanks to the recovery of the shipbuilding market and the recognition from the market and customers, Yuchai Marine Power had delivered a cumulative total of 2 million horsepower by September 2024 and would achieve the delivery of 3 million horsepower of marine low-speed engines within 2025. Additionally, Yuchai Marine Power actively implements the national low-carbon emission reduction strategy, making early plans and layouts to become the only domestic manufacturer capable of producing LNG dual-fuel, methanol dual-fuel, and ammonia dual-fuel low-speed marine engines simultaneously. This will provide more options for the market and customers in selecting new clean-fuel marine low-speed engines.

Chen Xiaoliang, General Manager of the Production and Operations Department of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, congratulated Yuchai Marine Power on its leapfrog development in recent years and expressed high recognition for its core corporate culture of “being reliable people, building reliable machines” and “striving until no more can be done.” A good beginning is half the battle, and both parties should leverage their respective advantages to move forward hand in hand, solidifying the foundation for long-term friendly cooperation.

Accompanied by Deng Hui, General Manager of Yuchai Marine Power, Chen Xiaoliang and his delegation also visited Yuchai Marine Power’s production workshop, shipping dock, LNG fuel supply station, methanol fuel supply station, and ammonia fuel supply station construction site. They praised Yuchai Marine Power for its efficient production management, excellent processing and assembly manufacturing capabilities, efficient and convenient dock engine shipping capabilities, and its ability to produce three types of environmentally friendly dual-fuel engines simultaneously. Both parties expressed that this signing would serve as a new starting point to establish a closer and deeper cooperative relationship, jointly opening a new chapter in the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry.
