At 10:18 on May 12, the 19,000 TEU dual-fuel LNG-powered container vessel (CHB2047) built by Changhong International for Mediterranean Shipping Company successfully entered the dock and laid its keel in No. 2 Dock of Zhoushan Changhong (Daishan Base).
Mr. JiHun JUNG, Manager of the on-site supervision project team of the shipowner, along with team members, representatives of DNV classification society, Mr. Wang Jiazheng, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Dinghai Shipbuilding, and Mr. Geng Hongwei, General Manager of Daishan Shipbuilding, jointly attended the ceremony.
This vessel is currently the largest LNG dual-fuel container ship built in Zhejiang Province, with an overall length of approximately 366.0 meters, a molded breadth of 58.8 meters, a molded depth of 30.2 meters, a design draft of 17.0 meters, and a container capacity of 19,000 TEU. It is propelled by LNG dual-fuel power, demonstrating excellent energy efficiency and compliance with international emission standards, making it a mainstream ultra-large green container vessel type globally.
