Zhenhua Heavy Industry launched the first domestically built residual water treatment vessel for CCCC Tianjin Dredging Company.

On July 9, the domestically first residual water treatment vessel, “Taihu Light No. 5,” built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Group (ZPMC) for CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd., was successfully launched. Representatives from CCCC Tianjin Dredging, Zhenhua Offshore Engineering, and project construction team members jointly witnessed this milestone moment.

The “Taihu Light No. 5” is the first set of intelligent dredging equipment clusters developed by ZPMC for Taihu Lake remediation. With a length of 42.5 meters and a width of 10 meters, the vessel can operate in coordination with the “Taihu Light” debris removal and conditioning vessel and the sludge dewatering and volume reduction vessel built by the company. Through multi-vessel collaboration on Taihu Lake’s integrated intelligent platform, it achieves a “fully offshore” model of “in-situ mud-water treatment.” The vessel is also equipped with a new-generation residual water treatment system, integrating advanced membrane separation technology, biological treatment technology, and intelligent control technology, significantly improving water treatment standards. The treated water quality can meet Class III surface water standards, truly realizing the recycling of water resources.

The “Taihu Light No. 5” is the final vessel in the “Taihu Light” series, and its successful launch marks the completion of the series. After delivery, the “Taihu Light” and “Taihu Star” series vessels built by ZPMC will form a robust force in China’s environmental dredging equipment, playing a key role in ecological restoration and water quality improvement in lakes, inland rivers, reservoirs, and other water bodies, contributing stronger ZPMC power to building a beautiful China.
