On October 13, the inaugural ceremony of the “Zhuzhongjiangyang” Four-City Marine Ranch Intelligent Equipment Innovation Alliance and the Marine Ranch Equipment Achievement Matchmaking Event were successfully held in Zhuhai. This event was jointly organized by the Zhuhai Ocean Development Bureau and the Zhuhai Ocean Development Group Co., Ltd., marking a new stage of collaborative development in the field of modern marine ranch equipment for the four cities of Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and Yangjiang.
The four cities of Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and Yangjiang are geographically connected and have complementary industries, each possessing unique advantages in the marine ranch equipment sector. The establishment of the alliance is an important measure to implement the national maritime power strategy and promote the construction of the “blue granary,” as well as a practical action for the four cities to join hands in breaking down barriers, integrating resources, and co-building a “blue engine.” The alliance will focus on key areas such as intelligent aquaculture equipment, deep-sea cages, and aquaculture work vessels, promoting collaborative technological breakthroughs, resource sharing, and standard co-development, helping to create a nationally influential modern marine ranch equipment brand.
Four-City Collaboration, Building a “Blue Industrial Ecosystem”
Li Yiqiang, General Manager of Zhuhai Ocean Group, stated in his speech during the unveiling ceremony that China’s marine ranch construction is currently transitioning from “scale expansion” to “quality improvement” and moving from “nearshore shallow seas” to “deep and distant seas.” Facing this new stage and new requirements, only through joint collaboration can development bottlenecks be broken. The establishment of the alliance will link the complete industrial chain from R&D and manufacturing to application and services across the four cities, jointly building a “Marine Ranch Intelligent Equipment Collaborative Ecosystem.”
As one of the initiating units of the alliance, the Zhuhai Ocean Development Group will actively leverage its advantages in the planning and construction of modern marine ranches and equipment application scenarios, support the alliance in establishing a normalized cooperation mechanism, and promote the standardization, intellectualization, and greening of marine ranch equipment, making the alliance a true “accelerator” for the high-quality development of the marine economy on the west bank of the Pearl River.
Technology Empowerment, Promoting the Landing and Transformation of Achievements
The event also simultaneously unveiled and established the “Zhuhai Deep Blue Marine Ranch Research Institute.” During the roadshow segment, topics ranged from the “Zhuhai Lingding Series Marine Ranch Equipment Spectrum” to “Semi-submersible Deep-Sea Farming Platforms,” from “Green Intelligent Aquaculture Equipment” to “Marine Food Fresh-Lock Technology,” covering multiple fields such as equipment manufacturing, seed industry research, energy solutions, and digital fisheries, fully demonstrating the innovative strength of the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary in the field of modern marine ranch equipment.
The event also featured a modern marine ranch equipment achievement exhibition area and a “Technology Fresh Taste” tasting area, centrally displaying cutting-edge equipment like deep-water cages, underwater robots, and cold chain equipment, as well as high-quality aquatic products such as tuna and leopard coral grouper, allowing participants to experience the charm of marine technology by “seeing and tasting.”
In the future, the Zhuhai Ocean Development Group will use the establishment of the alliance as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation with various member units, focusing on key directions such as “Land-Sea Relay,” “Wind-Fishery Integration,” and “Deep-Sea Aquaculture,” to help Zhuhai build a “Regional Marine Central City” and inject stronger momentum into the construction of a “Marine New Guangdong.”
