GRASP software platform
Logistics and container services specialists Zuidnatie has added RTE’s WRAD wireless reefer monitoring system and GRASP data management platform to its growing refrigerated container handling operation at the Port of Antwerp.
The addition of reefer monitoring capability is a logical step for Zuidnatie, which provides a wide range of services that include reefer maintenance, PTI and connection points for up to 40 refrigerated containers on-site with plans for future expansions.
Floris Verswijvel, ICT manager at Zuidnatie, said: “The RTE solution gives us an ease of mind with real-time monitoring, allowing our team to be agile and react on exceptions.”
The wireless WRAD devices connect directly to each reefer, providing Zuidnatie’s terminal operators reefer data, notifications and alerts across multiple devices.
Combined with RTE’s GRASP monitoring software, Zuidnatie’s operations team members can manage individual reefer status on-site and observe graphical views of the entire yard, ensuring the quality of the cargo while in their care.
Carlos Yassir, RTE Head of Sales, said: “Through our multiple product categories, we developed a customised reefer monitoring system that allowed Zuidnatie to manage refrigerated container conditions, retain flexibility for future expansion, and stay within budget.”
The value delivered is in the collected data, a complete historical view of the reefer’s performance while in the operator’s care.
